A Letter to My Daughters
Dear Beloved,
I know you have had some hard days. Maybe even some days when you have wondered where I was and if I even cared. The tears you have cried and the shattering of your heart you have felt deep within your bones. You may have felt as though your screams have fallen on deaf ears. But I assure you that I have heard you, felt your tears in the palm of my hands, and held your soul in your deepest and darkest nights.
You are my beloved. You captivate me with every fiber of your being. I knit you together purposefully, authentically, and wonderfully. There is no part of you that I do not know. You are my child that I will protect at all cost. While my protection may not appear as you may think it might or should, I am sheltering you, I am with you, I am there.
There will be days you want to run and hide. You may be tired of what this world brings, the sin man has allowed, and pain that you see or endure yourself. But no matter how far you run, I am with you always. No matter how deep your pain goes, I am in the valley with you. No one and nothing can remove your name from the palms of my hands. Trust me, wherever you go, I am running after you. I will always leave the 99 for the 1.
Now, you may be thinking, “There’s no way you could love me after what I have done/said/thought?” Oh, daughter! That is the enemy’s lie! I have loved some of those closest to me who have denied me, doubted me, and betrayed me. There is nothing you have done, can do, or will do that will ever stop me from loving you. You are chosen. You are my child. You are my crown.
When your heart is heavy, I long to hold your burdens. When your soul is tired, I long to give you rest. When your pain is unbearable, I long to give you strength. When your heart is broken, I long to hold your tears and bind your heart. When you feel you simply cannot go on, I long to renew your strength so that you may run or walk and not grow tired.
My Beloved, as I close, please know you are engraved on my heart. You are part of the royal priesthood. I have lovingly, excitedly, whole-heartedly claimed you as my child. Your crown awaits you. It is your right, and my joy, to see you walk and live as a daughter of the one True King.
Forever your Father,
Jesus
